Description
Asbestos removal, associated works and sampling. Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) Neighbourhoods Directorate is responsible for the management, upkeep and repair of domestic properties owned by the Council. Tenders were invited for asbestos removal and remedial works to properties within the Borough of Sandwell. The work is unscheduled and of a jobbing nature as the presence of asbestos cannot be determined until the repair is allocated. There are approximately 29 000 domestic properties covered by this contract. Municipal housing varies in age from thirty (30) to one hundred and fifty (150) year olds, is of traditional and system built construction, and is of low, medium and high rise. The contract is split into lots: Lot 1: Removal and associated works; and Lot 2: Sampling. Please refer to the ITT documents.
