Purchase of Gas Cylinders

Description

Northern Gas Networks are seeking to establish a contract with a single supplier to provide circa 45-50 compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders weighing less than 25kgs (Single man lift) to its operational depots. The CNG cylinders must meet the following mandatory criteria:- • Must be able to pick up and either refill or provide replacement cylinders as and when NGN consume the gas inside them • Must be able to provide regulators to enable NGN to monitor both gas flow (pressure being delivered from cylinders) and to show how much gas is remining in the cylinder • Must be able to service all NGN operational depots as an ongoing requirement

Total Quantity or Scope

• Must be able to pick up and either refill, or provide replacement cylinders as and when we consume the gas inside them • Must be able to provide regulators so we can both monitor gas flow (pressure being delivered from cylinders) and to show how much gas is remining in the cylinder • Must be able to do this for all depots in the NGN area on and ongoing contractual basis • Would like if can provide larger quantities of cylinders should we have a gas incident and want to use the technique in place of fan heaters and hot plates, but this is not essential.

3 year initial term with the option to extend a further 2 x 1 year periods

• It would also be preferable, if the supplier had the facility to provide larger quantities of cylinders should NGN have a gas incident and want to use the technique in place of fan heaters and hot plates, but this is not essential.
