Dumfries and Galloway Council are seeking a supplier to provide for high quality appropriate temporary accommodation with support service for young people under the age of 26 who are homeless or threatened within homelessness. The age range will be primarily 18 to 25 but with the ability to house and support those between 16 and 18 should the matter arise.

Total Quantity or Scope

Dumfries and Galloway are seeking to procure a high quality appropriate temporary accommodation with support service for young people under the age of 26 who are homeless or threatened within homelessness. … The tender is for a total of seven self-contained accommodation units with support and one unit of accommodation for emergency out of hours placements. The accommodation shall also provide onsite facilities for staff and communal areas for group work etc. The provider will be responsible for the levy and collection of accommodation charges from individuals placed in each unit and the associated housing costs assistances available for low-income residents. The Provider of this service will be a key partner in the delivery of the outcomes of Dumfries & Galloway Council’s Homeless Strategy, Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan, Dumfries & Galloway’s Children’s Services Plan and Dumfries & Galloway Council’s Corporate Parenting Plan.

Renewal Options

The initial contract is for 3 years (36 months) with the option to extend for two 12 month extensions at the sole discretion of Dumfries and Galloway Council.
