NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement - Midlands ("the Authority") is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a closedown orthodontic service in Warwickshire, in either Warwick or Leamington Spa. The location of the service should be easily accessible by public transport. A need has arisen to provide an orthodontic service to an existing caseload in Warwickshire. All patients have previously been receiving treatment in Warwick and the vast majority are resident either in Leamington or Warwick or surrounding areas. The current contract terminates on 31st July 2021 which delivers services from Warwick. The new contract will commence on 6th September 2021 for an anticipated period of 30 Months until 5th March 2024. The service must be provided under the supervision of a Specialist Orthodontist.

This opportunity may be of interest to an existing Specialist Orthodontic practice or to a general dental practice able to secure the services of a Specialist Orthodontist. In total there will be no more than 104 cases in Active Treatment and no cases in Supervised Retention. In recognition of the fact that capacity is currently constrained due to infection prevention measures in place, the Commissioner is looking for up to four providers to carry out this work. Allocation of cases between successful Bidders will be made equitably based on the stage of treatment and the most convenient location for the patient. Every effort will be made to allocate cases fairly and in discussions with providers, however any decisions made by the Commissioner regarding final allocation of cases will be final. Please note, an individual PDS Closedown Agreement will be issued to each successful provider. The estimated total contract value for all four successful providers combined will be no more than £75,000.00 over the life of the contract and is based on price per patient in Active Treatment.
