Description

The Mental Health and Disability Directorate is seeking tenders for the provision of independent advocacy services across the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (Trust) area for; adult mental health Service Users and young people aged 17.5+ transitioning to adult mental health services; adults with a learning disability and young people aged 16+ transitioning into adult learning disability services; adults with a physical and / or sensory disability and young people aged 16+ transitioning into adult physical and / or sensory disability services; and carers of those in receipt of mental health services - which reflect the principles and standards detailed in the ‘Developing Advocacy Services - A Policy Guide for Commissioners’ (May 2012) developed by DHSSPS.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** In section I.2), it is stated that this procurement is a joint procurement. This is not a joint procurement it is operated by BSO PaLS on. behalf of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. The first value in V.2.4) above includes an initial contract period of 3 years. The second value in V.2.4) includes the initial contract period plus 2 x 12 month extension period options. It also includes provision for an increase in service volumes of 50% as outlined in Clause 3.4.2 of SS20a Scoping and Specification document. It is not a guarantee of uptake or minimum demand. Social care services such as the provision of Advocacy Services are classified under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as social and other specific services and fall within those services listed in Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations. This Tender is therefore subject to the provisions of Section 7 of the Public Contracts Regulations otherwise known as the ‘Light Touch Regime’.
