Description

The purpose of this contract is to provide NGN with a panel of four framework consultants to provide contaminated land assessment services. The activities that may be required to be provided under this framework include, but are not limited to: Land Quality Assessment, Data Review, Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment, Remediation Options Appraisal & Environmental monitoring etc.

Total Quantity or Scope

Approximately 150 of NGN's infrastructure sites are situated on land which has the potential for land contamination to be present, predominantly associated with historical gas manufacturing activities undertaken at the sites. NGN inherited the potential land contamination liabilities associated with the property portfolio on acquisition of the network in 2005. Following appropriate funding being sanctioned by Ofgem to NGN for the 2021 to 2026 regulatory period (RIIO-GD2), NGN has continued its programme of pro-actively reviewing environmental land quality conditions across our property portfolio. The activities that may be required to be provided under this framework include, but are not limited to; Land Quality Assessment, Data Review, Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment, Remediation Options Appraisal, Environmental monitoring etc
