The successful Supplier will be required to provide cleaning services for Bishop Challoner Federation of Schools. Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of Schools has a separate Girls School, Boys School and 6th Form located on one site in Shadwell (London Borough of Tower Hamlets).

Total Quantity or Scope

Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of Schools has a separate Girls School, Boys School and 6th Form located on one site in Shadwell (London Borough of Tower Hamlets). Currently there are approximately 1,500 pupils across all 3 ‘schools’. The GCSE results are continuously improving and pupils achieve excellent A-level results. There are 210 teaching and administrative staff. The new buildings project for Bishop Challoner was completed approximately 12 years ago. Since then pupils have enjoyed the use of the state-of-the-art facilities including the well-equipped food and design technology rooms, science labs, music rooms, art studios, sports hall, drama studio, dance studio and theatre. There are also 46 classrooms, some of which are set up as ICT suites, as well as a number of faculty offices and senior leadership offices. There is an executive head suite including a boardroom as well as administration and finance offices. Tender information: The tender project is seeking to appoint a contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the facilities for the school. The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a pleasant environment for both the pupils and staff. The basis and rationale that the Client requires the successful contractor to operate to at all times, is being able to provide a School that is fit for purpose and that the Contractor is proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved and that the frequency of cleans is as detailed within the Tender Specification. The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from1st August 2022 until 31st July 2025 with the option to extend upon agreement with the school, for a maximum of a further 2-year period. The contract will be fixed price in nature, with the Contractor invoicing the Client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. It should be noted that the successful contractor will be expected to bring to the contract: innovation; new equipment; and cleaning methods, with BICSc standards being achieved, as a minimum, thus ensuring that the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained in all areas at all times and also ensuring that the productivity of the cleaning operatives is enhanced moving forward into the new contract term. Current cleaning arrangement: At present there are 15 cleaning staff employed for this contract The current incumbent contractor is Nviro Limited There are not any incumbent members of cleaning staff who are members of the LGPS Please be advised that the Trust has a minimum requirement for a contractor’s employers liability/ public liability and professional indemnity insurance of £5m The minimum annual turnover that your company must have achieved to be considered for this opportunity is £1m The annual value of the current contract is £217,529 and therefore the total value of this contract over the maximum 5-year term is £1,087,645 Please see SQ Document for further information.
