Description

This contract relates to specialist painting / coating requirements resulting from Capital Investment, Repair and Upgrade projects as part of the ongoing maintenance of NGN's gas infrastructure assets. It is awarded as a short term measure (8 months) to ensure work can be carried out under a robust contract whilst a formal tender process is undertaken to establish a new Framework Agreement to be in place prior to the expiry of this 8 month contract

Legal Justification

NGN has an ongoing requirement for the provision of specialist painting services to ensure the protection of new and existing assets across its network. This specialist painting requirement until recently was covered under an existing Framework Agreement. During a re-procurement of this Framework this specific requirement was not included and as such an interim arrangement (described above) has been put in place. In the coming Months NGN will instigate the procurement of a new Framework to provide this requirement prior to the expiry of this interim arrangement.
