Description

Social research services to support the Review of the Presumption of Parental Involvement (the Review), a government commitment announced by Minister Chalk in November 2020. NatCen were previously awarded a contract to complete similar research in March 2021. However, due to unforeseen delays with access to case files and unexpected challenges with the court filing system, the work was not deliverable within the confines of the previous contract. Despite this, NatCen found the work to be methodologically feasible, with small tweaks to the approach. Following a steer from Lord Bellamy, the decision has been taken to pursue the research based on the revised approach. As the previous contract has come to an end, a new commission is required.
