DoF NI Public Sector Shared Network (NIPSSN) Project

Description

The Department of Finance (DoF) has a requirement to procure services for a NI Public Sector Shared Network (NIPSSN). The most pressing need for the NI Public Sector Shared Network Project is to address the expiry of the existing NICS Contract (Network NI) which is due to finish in September 2019. It is anticipated that the NI PSSN Contract will be for a maximum contract period of 9 years. This is likely to be on the basis of an initial contract period of five (5) years from ‘go-live’, plus two optional extension periods consisting of two (2) x two (2) years.

This figure represents an upper limit in line with the estimated contract value as stated in the Contract Notice (2017/S 079-152489) which reflects the potential scale of the contract and takes into account such changes to the scope and or scale which may result from the utilisation of services by the Users (as defined in Schedule 12 of the tender documentation) and update of optional services as detailed in Schedule 2.1 Service Description.
