Cabling, data points and network switches to improve WiFi across the school estate in accordance with the DfE's specification for Connect the Classroom. Works approved by DfE in July 2023 and have to be completed by March 2024 hence the approach for a direct award through an approved framework. Legal Justification

DfE approved the works in July 2023, works must be complete by March 2024 leaving no time for a formal tender whilst avoiding disruption to teaching and learning during term time as the initial works are fully intrusive and must be completed during the school holidays. Following legal advice, the trust used an approved framework (SBS) to award a call-off contract.
