Used Ofwat's Conditions of Contract for Temporary Staff (via Intermediary). Interim Finance Accountant The Services required are to support the backlog of finance work that has built up whilst the Oracle finance system was implemented. The Finance Team are still low on resource due to the clearing of priority issues on the Oracle system and moving from implementation to stabilisation whilst supporting and training Ofwat business users on Oracle. The main tasks will include, but not restricted to: Main tasks: Capital accounting (fixed assets, leases, IFRS16) Government data returns preparation and submission Support for Accounts Payable and making improvements IAS19 annual leave calculation Balance Sheet reconciliations Whole of Gov Accs preparation and submission KPI data calculation & monitoring VAT return preparation and submission Support for Oracle reporting development Month End prep and closedown Business partnering Budget set up for new FY Month end accruals Development of finance reporting and training for the business Oracle Reporting development (for month end, data analysis, budget holders) Continuous improvement The role shall be a full time position, working 5 days a week, means a period of 7 hours and 30 minutes between 07:00 hours and 19:00 hours, excluding lunch breaks, from Monday to Friday inclusive, excluding English public holidays.
