Cardiff and Vale uLHB operating as Weqas seeks to establish a contract for the supply of base material products (serum and plasma products). Weqas is an international External Quality Assessment provider within Cardiff and Vale uHB. Weqas is an international External Quality Assessment provider within Cardiff and Vale uHB. Weqas monitors the analytical performance of diagnostic laboratories in the UK, Ireland and overseas. Weqas is accredited to standard ISO 17043 (and ISO 15195 in combination with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for our Reference Laboratory). A number of EQA programmes require base material to be supplied by an external source for distribution. The following Lots are required; Lot 1 – Single Donor off the clot Serum Lot 2 – Defibrinated Plasma Lot 3 – EDTA Plasma Lot 4 – Lithium Heparin Serum
