Description
The purpose of this contract is to enable GTR to comply with current legislative requirements relating to the inspection and certification of lifting equipment and pressure systems. The contract includes: independent, competent examination, assessment and reports on equipment; records of inspections on equipment; management information reports; and competent professional services in relation to duties and tasks required to ensure legislative compliance, such as preparation of written schemes of examination for GTR pressure systems and lifting equipment.

The purpose of this procurement was to appoint a single supplier for the inspection and certification of lifting equipment and pressure systems enabling GTR to comply with current legislative safety requirements. There was one lot for this tender. This procurement was run as a Restricted Procedure with initial call for competition via the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS). A Supplier Selection Questionnaire was issued to all parties who registered interest to evaluate their capability and financial standing.
