NHS Highland and the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) requires a Medical Service to patients at HMP Inverness. HMP Inverness has a population of 98 male offenders with mixed sentence disposals. Services include the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions by means of appropriate diagnostic skills, including any necessary investigations, at a level of competence appropriate to a General Medical Practitioner. This includes work undertaken in routine surgeries, on call services and attendance at the establishment at other times where appropriate.
