WCC Weather forecasting services for winter maintenance

Description

WCC is seeking to produce a specification for a weather forecaster which integrates with our 6 Vaisala weather stations and receive data from the 4 additional sensors to help refine the weather forecast. We are looking at a more efficient method of treatment than a one out all out approach to reduce operating costs for the service and reduce carbon emissions. The weather forecast data needs to be delivered in a format that is accessible 24/7 by the decision makers, we also may have questions around the forecast, especially during snow events, so any forecaster would need to be contactable 24/7 during the winter season. We need to ensure we communicate effectively with our supervisors, drivers, neighbouring authorities, other relevant third parties and the travelling public, what treatment we are planning and how we are carrying this out so would like the market to provide some solutions on how this could be achieved easily and effectively.
