Description
Non-urgent, planned and unplanned transportation of patients, with a medical need for transport, to and from a premises providing NHS healthcare and between NHS healthcare providers in Merseyside. This includes the Enhanced Priority Service for patients receiving Renal Dialysis or Oncology treatments .
Total Quantity or Scope
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB intend to award a 1 year contract via Direct award C to incumbent provider to deliver the Non Emergency Patient Transport Services in Merseyside. The contract will start on the 1st of April 2025, expire on 31st March 2026 and has an annual contract value estimated to be £10,715,000 . This is an indicative value and is subject to change.

On the 19th of November 2024 the Finance, Investment & Resource Committee approved this decision. One committee member has a standing declaration of interest. The decision to award was made in line with the Conflict of Interest policy.
