Description

This notice is issued under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) as a confirmation of award of a contract following a competitive procedure (Notice identifier: 2024/S 000-040948). The award is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this procurement.The Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, hosted by Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust (RSFT), has awarded a contract for the delivery of the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) Programme. Following a competitive process, tender responses were evaluated against the five key criteria set out in the Provider Selection Regime.The initial term of the Contract shall be 4 years and 4 months from the service commencement date with an option to extend for a further 12 months. The services commencement date is 1st August 2025. Lung Health Checks (LHC) to commence in August 2025 and Low Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) in September 2025. The expected lifetime contract value is up to £50.7m.

The decision-making panel also included the Net Zero Lead from Surrey Heartlands ICS, a Consultant Respiratory Physician from Surrey and Sussex Healthcare, a Consultant Radiologist, Clinical Nurse Specialists and members of the Cancer Programme Team from Frimley Health, a GP from Mid Sussex Healthcare and the Senior Public Health Programme Lead from Surrey County Council.All evaluators signed a confidentiality agreement and completed a declaration of conflicts of interest. No declared or potential conflicts of interest were identified during the process.The chosen provider was selected due to achieving the highest score across the key criteria used. The provider has been assessed and passed against the relevant key criteria and basic criteria.
