2. CHALLENGE 2.1. The current contractual arrangements are due to expire at the end of August 2024 and therefore appropriate compliant arrangements need to be in place to meet the Trust's requirements, including specialist roles. 2.2. National supply and temporary staff capacity and the availability of suitable candidates within the market remain a significant challenge within the education sector. 2.3. Keeping Children Safe in Education is critical to the Trust and therefore all suppliers must provide a consistent approach to regulatory compliance and safeguarding practice. 2.4. Large geographical spread of schools. 2. OBJECTIVE 2.1 This FC sets out the requirements of this procurement and provides information on how the tender process will be managed. It also explains the clarification process and confirms the process that will be used to evaluate Tender(s). 2.2 BWCET are looking to procure suitable Supply and Temporary Staff arrangements which provide appropriate support across teaching, non-teaching and catering roles and ensures sufficient capacity to ensure effective outcomes across all schools.

2.3 BWCET are looking to increase transparency and visibility of all supply and temporary staff requirements to ensure internal and supplier processes are operationally robust for effective financial and budgetary management. 2.4 The estimated contract value is £9,000,000 over a 3-year Contract period. Please note that this is estimated based on previous volume and therefore not guaranteed and will be based on future demand and usage. 2.5 BWCET are looking to appoint multiple Suppliers across the following structure to deliver all supply and temporary staff requirements for teaching and non-teaching roles for the full contract duration of 3 years, with the potential to increase to a 5 year agreement (+1 year, +1 year).
