Description

The University is seeking to engage with the market through a Prior Market Consultation (PMC) to inform the potential future procurement of a modern Finance System. In line with our enterprise architecture principles, we are seeking to reduce our reliance on customised systems and procure solutions we can adopt rather than adapt to meet our needs. In undertaking this market consultation, the University hopes to: Engage with the market so that suppliers know about the upcoming opportunity. Understand the current market capability, including available solutions, technologies and innovation potential. Validate our outline requirements and identify any gaps or unrealistic expectations. Confirm what information bidders will require as part of the tender process to construct a detailed and realistic bid including mobilisation plan. Explore the potential challenges, risk or barriers from a supplier's perspective. Determine the most appropriate route to market. Understand the optimum pricing and commercial model including optimal contract length and cost drivers. Inform our budgeting and cost estimates. It is important to note that a PMC is not a procurement exercise. Information requested at this stage is not for evaluation purposes. Involvement in the PMC does not affect an organisation's positioning either positively or negatively should a procurement opportunity subsequently arise.
