Description

Bath & North East Somerset wishes to establish a single provider Contract for the provision of ASC Older People Information and Advice Services. The procurement is run in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023, Light Touch Regime (LTR) below-threshold, one stage tender. The aim of the service is to provide timely, accessible, current and good quality information and advice to older people living in B&NES, promoting independence and supporting social and financial inclusion. This project is for the re-commissioning of an existing service. This is a community-based service and as such needs to be highly accessible to the community. Special attention will be given to supporting access for individuals living in areas of high deprivation and to any other individuals who may experience barriers to accessing the service. The service will provide information and advice to older people, their families and carers living in Bath & North East Somerset free of charge, 5 days a week, utilising a range of channels and formats to ensure service accessibility, including home visits and outreach surgeries promoting independence such is supporting access to benefits and providing tailored housing advice.

Renewal Options

An additional, optional 2-year extension is available beyond the initial term. If the optional extension is taken the contract will expire on 31st December 2032. Any extension is at the Council's discretion and cannot be guaranteed. The Contract Terms include a discretional uplift. The values at V.3 and V.20.3 have been uplifted to allow some headroom for any potential uplifts, which are not guaranteed.
