South Kesteven District Council wishes to procure a contractor to supply and install a galvanised steel skate park in Wyndham Park, Grantham. A consultation has been completed by residents in Grantham to understand what equipment would be appropriate and if a skate park would be well received. Conversations with some suppliers have taken place to understand what different designs could be achieved and this will be compared against the consultation feedback to create the final specification for open tender. There was previously a skate park in the same location that we are granted to use, therefore a concrete base already exists which would just require the contractor to fill and make good a few cracks/holes to ensure there are no trip hazards to riders. It is imperative we create a suitable skate park for a range of wheeled sports, riders, ages and abilities and the contractor would need to demonstrate this can be achieved. The skate park must be fully installed and signed off by 27 March 2026. The purpose of this notice is to notify the market of market engagement that has already taken place, provide the information that has already been given by the authority about this project and confirm an open tender will be taking place for this project.
