Description

Derbyshire County Council (The Council) are seeking to establish a Framework to provide The Council with a reliable, flexible, and cost-effective means of procuring operated plant and equipment to support highways, construction, and maintenance activities. It is designed to ensure consistent standards of safety, quality, and performance, while offering value for money and streamlined access to a range of equipment types and services. The Framework will cover a wide range of plant types and vehicle categories, supplied with appropriately qualified operators. The services may be required across multiple locations within the Council's jurisdiction. The framework will be structured into the following 10 lots: • LCVs & HGVs • Road Sweepers • Jetting Units • Skid Steers • Tractor Units • Surface Planers • Surface Pavers • Excavators • Hot Boxes • Reactive Emergency Standby The proposed Framework is expected to commence on 3rd October 2025, with an initial term of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further two 12-month periods, up to a maximum of 4 years (2+1+1). The intention is to appoint multiple and capable Contractors to each Lot to ensure adequate competition, capacity and coverage during the term of the Framework and for call-off purposes. There will be no restriction to the number of Contractors accepted on each lot.
