This requirement involves the setting up of a three-year framework for the further supply and support of the current in-service air cleared, small, portable mechanical ventilation device to patients in the deployed Pre-Hospital and deployed Defence Healthcare settings. Items will include capital equipment, consumables, ancillaries, training, servicing and maintenance. The current product in service is the ZOLL EMV + 731 series portable ventilator.

Legal Justification

ZOLL are the OEM for this equipment and the only party which can provide the necessary supply and support services for the requirement. ZOLL Medical Corporation are the sole UK distributor of servicing, training and spare parts for the EMV + 731 series PHEM Ventilator. ZOLL hold the IPR for the design of the equipment and are the Technical Authority for any changes applicable to the products. The above is in accordance with the PA2023 Direct Award justifications - Schedule 5 Paragraphs 5-7 . Not applicable
