The Scottish Police Authority intends to publish a tender which will establish a Catering Framework for locations across Scotland. This contract aims to achieve the following: Provide nutritionally balanced meal packs to officers. Standardise packed meal provision across Scotland for operational and event deployments. Accommodate a range of dietary requirements. Ensure compliance with food labelling regulations, particularly regarding allergens. Confirm that the provider holds all necessary Food Hygiene certifications. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and that the provider is a licensed catering operation. Verify that the provider meets Police Scotland’s mandatory vetting requirements. Deliver best value and explore opportunities for value-added services. Promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain, including responsible sourcing, packaging, recycling, and waste disposal. Ensure provider staff are paid at least the minimum living wage, ideally the Scottish Living Wage. To put in place a compliant, transparent and robust framework of suppliers for the supply and delivery of nutritionally balanced packed meals for Officers to have during their meal breaks whilst on deployment throughout Scotland.
