This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. Public Health plan to deliver a targeted mobile dentistry service for GRT families across County Durham. This patient group is at risk of social exclusion, face health inequalities, and may be suffering with dental pain. A mobile dental unit is needed to visit 3 GRT sites providing children and families with access to dental treatment. This service will help to remove the barriers that families are facing to accessing mainstream dental services. The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process. Decision makers are the Public Health Senior Management Team.

Renewal Options

If the service is successful then a further 12 month contract may be granted.
