Description
South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority are seeking to establish a closed framework for the Supply of Rail for use on the Sheffield Supertram Light Rail Network. The framework will be split into 2 Lots: Lot 1 - Grooved Rail Lot 2 - Flat Bottomed Rail
Lot Division
| 1 | Grooved Rail
To facilitate the next rail replacement programme, SYMCA need to procure additional grooved (embedded) rails (Lot 1) suitable for installation on the tram network. For Call-off 1, the supplier is to provide the following quantities of grooved rail: • Amount - 500t (METRIC TONNES) • Rail to be supplied in nominally 18.288m length, within the tolerance in BS EN14811:2019. |
| 2 | Flat Bottomed Rail
To facilitate the next rail replacement programme, SYMCA need to procure additional flat bottom/Vignole rails (Lot 2) suitable for installation on the tram network. For Call-off 1, the supplier is to provide the following quantities of flat bottom rail: • Amount -300t (METRIC TONNES) • Rail to be supplied in nominally 18.288m length, within the tolerance in BSEN13674-4:2019. • All rails to be undrilled. |
