Legal Justification
There is only one manufacturer of this vaccine approved for use in the UK, therefore using the negotiated procedure without prior publication is justified under Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
Other Information
Value - The contract value is withheld from publication pursuant to regulation 50(6)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) so as not to prejudice the legitimate commercial interest of the supplier. The contracts are for the benefit of the Authority and NHS bodies along with any other non-NHS bodies which are necessary for the delivery of services or goods to NHS bodies, local authorities, other government departments or non-departmental public bodies charged with the delivery of healthcare or health related services in the United Kingdom, Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories including, without limitation, the National Assembly for Wales, the Northern Ireland Assembly, and Scottish Ministers. The resulting products delivered against the contract(s) may be made available to the UK devolved administrations, Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories to undertake their respective immunisation programmes.
