Description
1.1. The Trust has a requirement to reduce the backlog of children waiting for Initial Paediatric Assessments, specifically Autism assessments. Current waiting times exceed 52 weeks, with 943 children waiting. This paper recommends the award of a contract to London Early Autism Diagnosis (LEAD) to deliver 137 Autism assessments within the required timeframe
Total Quantity or Scope
This paper recommends the award of a contract to London Early Autism Diagnosis (LEAD) to deliver 137 Autism assessments within the required timeframe. 1.2. The new contract will maintain high standards of quality and innovation while ensuring quicker access to autism assessments. It will reduce the backlog of patients waiting over 52 weeks, provide faster assessment turnaround compared to standard NHS provision, improve patient experience through local, face-to-face services and deliver value for money through competitive rates.The estimated contract value is £120,560 (exc. VAT) over 6 months
