Essex County Council in partnership with North Essex ICB are commissioning a Recovery College to support adults in North Essex experiencing poor mental health. Our vision is to promote good emotional and mental health for everyone, reduce health inequalities and to improve life outcomes for those with mental ill health, enabling them to recover and live well. The winning provider will work closely with operational teams across health and social care to deliver courses locally across North Essex supporting mental health and wellbeing. Courses will be delivered in the community and will be co-designed and co-facilitated with adults with lived experience of mental health. The Recovery College syllabus will contain a core element that the provider will work with commissioners to develop based on local need. Additional courses will be created and shaped by adults with lived experience to deliver meaningful courses that support adults to live well in their community.
