Contract Award Statement: The intention is to award the contract to Health Services Laboratories following the direct award process A under the Provider Selection Regime.Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Microbiology Department specialised testing and referrals, must be undertaken by a recognised accredited laboratory to ensure that the testing is carried out to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.Additionally, assurance of testing competence and referral turn around time is essential to enable, rapid diagnosis and management of infectious and genetic diseases.Micropathology Limited is the sole provider for Nottingham University NHS Trusts Microbiology specialist testing referral work.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice.The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services - Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023.For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice.Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by Monday 1st December 2025.
