Description
Contract for the Provision of a range of Carers Support Services in line with the requirements of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 Range of support services to carers in line with the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. Argyll and Bute Council on behalf of the Health and Social Care Parternship propose to enter into negotiations with its existing contracted providers for the continued provision of Carers Support Services in order to ensure continuity while implications of the new Act become clear. The contracts are yet to be developed but are likely to include a range of services in line with the requirements of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. The intention is to agree a contract for up to a period of 3 years. This proposal should ensure continuity of provision while the new act is implemented and will allow time for any required redesign to take place.

Economic operators may be excluded from contracting with the Council if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Information on this will be collected during prequalification. This notice is published in the interest of transparency about the intention to negotiate with existing providers of Carers Services in Argyll and Bute to put new contracts in place for a period of up to 3 years to allow continuity while the requirements of the new Act are implemented.
