Description
The provision of 13 Step Down Beds for adult service users who occupy a MCFT mental health inpatient bed who will remain open to a mental health CMHT and/or CRHT service.
Total Quantity or Scope
MCFT intends to contract with Excel Housing Solutions, Unit 6b, Vesty Business Park, Vesty Road, Bootle, L30 1NY for the provision of 13 step down beds for adult service users who occupy a mental health MCFT inpatient bed who will remain open to a mental health CMHT and/or CRHT service. MCFT is currently in contract with Excel Housing Solutions, and this is a 15-month (1st January 2026 to 31st March 2027) continuation of the current arrangement. It is intended to award the contract in accordance with the Provider Selection Regime Regulations under Direct Award Process C where there is an existing provider for the services and that existing provider is satisfying the original contract and will likely satisfy the proposed new contract, and the services are not changing considerably. The contract value is approximately £495k. The Senior Leadership Team of Mental Health Care Division have made the decision for the award of this contract. No conflicts of interest have been identified, and this has been recorded in line with Trust policy.
