'This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. An urgent award was needed due to the national decommissioning of the WEMSS, placements were needed for the patients who were placed within the WEMSS service. BSMHFT do not currently have a contract in place, so the urgent award was required to support this patient and to place the patient closest to family and support network. The contract will be for an initial 12 months, however, if after this period the patient still requires this placement, the agreement can be extended due to clinical implications and requirements. This urgent award was approved by Commissioning Committee on 10 December 2025 and no conflicts of interest were declared. The lifetime value of the contract will be on a cost per case basis to a maximum value of £ 261,179.40 plus any additional EPC as required. Contract start date is 1 December 2025.
