Description

The contract is for the provision of cone beam dental CT scans and accompanying clinical reports. Anticipated activity is 40 per month. A Head and Neck Radiologist may report simple impactions. Complex cases will be reported by Specialist Dental Radiologists.

Legal Justification

Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a 12‑month contract to Medical Imaging Partnership Ltd for the provision of Dental Cone Beam CT scans and reports for patients of Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, using the Urgent Award provision. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The contract start date is 01/01/2026, and the contract is strictly limited to 12 months with no option to extend. This period will allow the Trust to undertake further market research, which is required to determine a sustainable longer‑term solution.
