The contract will manage 172 escalators across the Transport for London (TfL) network.

Total Quantity or Scope

The supplier will be responsible for delivering a programme of escalator replacements and refurbishments including design and manufacture for 172 escalators across the Transport for London network as well as the planned and reactive maintenance of these escalators for the initial term of 16 years. There is an option to extend by further periods of up to 3 years, and with a maximum total duration of 19 years.

Other Information

The supplier will be responsible for delivering a programme of escalator replacements and refurbishments including design and manufacture as well as the planned and reactive maintenance of these escalators for the initial term of 16 years, with the option to extend by further periods of up to 3 years, and with a maximum total duration of 19 years. The supplier will be responsible for managing these escalators including the provision of spare parts as may be required for repair or replacement. The contract may be relied upon by TfL or any other member of the TfL Group. The total procurement value stated in this contract award notice comprises of the total contract value for the full potential 19 year contract duration and an estimated allowance for inflation over the full duration of the contract at an assumed rate. The value payable to the supplier for inflationary increases will be calculated throughout the life of the contract in accordance with the contractual mechanism to do so. The supplier's entitlement for inflationary increases may therefore vary from the amount included in this notice.
