Description

North Northamptonshire Council invites quotations to design and deliver a community-focused programme that addresses mental health inequalities, with specific emphasis on improving outcomes for people living with Severe Mental Illness (SMI). The programme is structured into three Lots and will include activities such as awareness-raising, culturally competent engagement, capacity building, resource development, signposting, and collaboration with local partners. Direct delivery of health checks or formal referral management is excluded. Lots: • Lot 1: Mental Health Awareness and Early Access (Indicative budget • Lot 2: Understanding SMI and Physical Health (Indicative budget • Lot 3: Reducing Inequalities in Access and Uptake Contract Value: Total maximum budget for all Lots combined: £70,000 (Inclusive of VAT ). Quotations exceeding the capped budget will be rejected. Contract Term: Expected contract period: 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.

Lot Division

1 Mental Health Awareness and Early Access

The Supplier will deliver a community-based programme focused on reducing mental health inequalities, improving awareness, access, and engagement among individuals with SMI and other groups experiencing the greatest health inequalities. Delivery must be evidence-based, culturally competent, and aligned with local priorities.

2 Understanding SMI and Physical Health

Building on initiatives to develop a system approach to strengthen understanding of SMI and wider mental health illness and its link to poor physical health, encouraging engagement with preventative healthcare and lifestyle services and bridging the gap between primary care and lifestyle services.

3 Reducing Inequalities in Access and uptake

Targeted approaches to improve awareness and uptake of SMI Health Checks, particularly among underrepresented groups.
