Legal Justification

Due to pending Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and associated uncertainty related to budget planning (ie circumstances which could not have been forseen at the time of the orginial tender).To maintain stability for service users in the interim, GCC considers it necessary to extend existing community and accommodation based support contracts by one year rather than a replacement contract at this stage. The increase in contract price does not exceed 50% of the original contract value. Total modified contract value = 7+1 The contracting authorities are not awarding a new contract.
