School Aged Immunisation Services for Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire and NorthamptonshireThe aims of this service are to offer a safe and effective immunisation service to school age children.The objectives are to:— maximise overall uptake achieving ‘herd immunity’ wherever possible,— improve uptake in areas of historically low uptake,— protect individuals and communities against vaccine preventable diseases.Immunisations to be included within this service are:— Seasonal flu immunisation including Live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) and Intramuscular (IM) vaccines in line with national roll out plans, this includes special schools (students and staff),— tetanus, diphtheria and polio (Td/IPV),— meningococcal groups A, C, W and Y (MenACWY),— human papillomavirus (HPV) — girls and boys,— (measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) catch-up.
