Legal Justification

Due to pending Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and associated uncertainty related to budget planning (circumstances which could not have been forseen at the time of the orginial tender). To maintain stability for service users in the interim, GCC considers it necessary to extend existing community and accommodation based support contracts by one year rather than a replacement contract at this stage.The increase in contract price does not exceed 50% of the original contract value. Total modified contract value = 7+1 The contracting authorities are not awarding a new contract. This Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency Notice (VEAT) notice is in respect of a proposed modification to extend for the competed call-off contract for the supply of housing related support under the CABS Framework. This modification notice details the modification to extend to the current service from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2028.
