The Council has a duty to provide parenting assessments under section 38 (6) of the Children Act 1989, when directed by the Courts during care proceedings and wishes to appoint the Service Provider to provide independent parent and child assessment to enable a detailed assessment of parenting capacity and determine whether/what support is required to enable the family live independently in the community.

Total Quantity or Scope

Negotiated procedure commenced in 2024 for provision of Residential Parenting Assessments conducted in two named Residential Family Centres based in Worcestershire. Direct award made in accordance with the PCR (2015) as set out in regulation 32 (2) (b) (ii).
