Total Quantity or Scope
This notice is issued in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Stockport NHS Foundation Trust intends to award this contract using the Most Suitable Provider Process. The contract is for the provision of outsourced consultant led cardiology outpatient services. The contract does not guarantee any activity levels. This is a new service awarded to a new supplier. It is intended that the contract will commence on 24th February 2026 for a period of 1 year with an option to extend.

Legal Justification
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made in writing to the relevant authority by 25th February 2026 at contract.queries@stockport.nhs.uk. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR. This decision has been made by Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. No conflicts of interest were declared during the assessment process. Potential providers were assessed against the following criteria and weightings: Quality and innovation, 40% Value, 30% Integration, collaboration and service sustainability, 10% Improving access, reducing health inequalities, and facilitating choice, 10% Social value, 10% The provider with the highest weighted score was deemed to be the most suitable provider for the purposes of this process.
