Other Information
This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the provider selection regime (PSR) This contract has been awarded under the Healthcare Services (PSR) regulations 2023 . For avoidance of doubt the public contract regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. Due to unforeseen circumstances the original contract for EMG/NCS and EEG services for adults and paediatrics was terminated by the commissioning organization. Due to such timelines and the need to prevent any disruption in essential diagnostic services across both Adult and Peadiatric Services, urgent action is required to put alternative arrangements in place to manage risk, and support the continuation of patient care. Due to unforeseen service continuity issues with current contract an additional contract was required rapidly to ensure we can provide a sustainable service to patients. The Authority's intention is to undertake a competitive process for this service under PSR to award a longer term contract to replace this urgent award. Decision makers Clive McFarlane. No conflicts of interest identified.
