• Update 2026-02-20: Responses to suppliers' questions uploaded to documents. •Update 2026-02-11: The Local Planning Authority has confirmed these works fall under permitted development. Therefore, further planning applications are not required (exceptional circumstances notwithstanding). As a result, suppliers do not need to allocate any budget toward preparing and submitting a planning application, or securing planning permission. --- Sprowston Town Council is tendering for a suitable contractor to design and install a new high quality skatepark facility on development land off Blue Boar Lane. The project will include: • A base budget of £250,000, with a further £50,00 to achieve a "Wow" factor (total of £300,000) • Full design and build of a bespoke high quality skatepark with a footprint of approximately of 50m x 50m • Any further public consultation as may be deemed advisable/necessary • Associated works including drainage, surfacing, lighting and street furniture as required Suppliers are required to give an in-person presentation (maximum of 30 mins + Qs & As) in support of their skate park design and submission. Renewal Options

Contract end date is an estimate based on our estimates of contractors' shortest reasonable lead times and construction times. Actual agreed end date will depend on the submitted programme of works of the winning supplier. However, to be clear; the Council's very strong desire is to open the skate park as soon as possible, preferably in 2026.
