Legal Justification

The two Woolwich Ferry vessels were delivered in November 2018 under a TfL contract with the company Remontowa (the Builder). This contract covered the full build, including the Power Management System which was provided by Norwegian Electric Systems (NES) and a subsequent Technical Service Agreement between Remontowa and NES which has ended. The Power Management System requires improvement works to maintain the ferry service to be completed by the system owner, NES, noting system ownership and intellectual property rights.
