Description

The purpose of this service is to provide general ear care advice and education including the promotion of self management prior to medical intervention. The service is to be provided across several sites in Wirral within a Community or Primary Care setting.

Total Quantity or Scope

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB intend to award a 1 year contract via Direct Award C to the incumbent Provider to deliver the Ear Wax Removal Service across several sites in Wirral. The contract will commence on the 1st April 2026 and expire on the 31st March 2027. The annual contract value is £109,900.

On the 12th January 2026, the ICB's Director of Finance approved the decision to award the incumbent provider a 1 year contract. No declarations of interest were made by members that would materially or adversely impact on matters requiring discussion and decision. The decision to award was made in line with the conflict of interest policy.
