Description
GP Care Wakefield (GPCW) is a collaborative model of extended access primary care, delivering urgent care response and routine appointments during evenings and weekends for Wakefield District. It offers integration with other urgent care provision, operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In addition to extended access the service provides Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) hubs over the winter period offering appointments for patients with respiratory infections to try to support capacity within primary care and ED.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the Standstill Period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 30 March 2026. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the PSR.
