Description
County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service. The Service aims to enable individuals to become 'free from their dependence' and reduce the harm caused by substance misuse to families, communities, and society as a whole. The Service is underpinned by an emphasis on the local 'think family' approach, helping to support individuals through their recovery process, reducing vulnerabilities, safeguarding and risk within the wider context of their family unit, as appropriate.

Legal Justification
This modification is permitted under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 as the original contract, which commenced in August 2024, stipulated in relation to the IPD, IPS and RSDAT grants that "Posts/interventions from the following grants are incorporated within this contract until 31 March 2025 and may be extended depending upon confirmation of future funding" and "The annual value for the CDDARS may be increased if additional external and/or grant funding is secured by the Commissioner during the contract term for interventions that are consistent with the aim and objectives of the service."
