Step 2 and Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) Services provides early help mental health support via assessment, treatment and support for CYP (0-18 for Step 2 and 5-19 for CWP) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties which are causing distress and impacting on day-to-day life. Step 2 delivers interventions supported by specialist mental health professionals including mental health advisors, clinical psychologists and clinical therapists. The CWP service is a national programme and provides emotional wellbeing support to CYP via manualised CBT, who would benefit from early intervention, low intensity support.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 or the Procurement Regulations 2024 do not apply to this award. The contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C. The contract was awarded on 30th March 2026, and commenced on 1st April 2026, and will continue until 31st March 2028.
