Description

This procurement aims to establish a contract for the supply of food and beverages for retail sale on board trains across the Anglia rail network. Items include ambient snacks, fresh food items, hot and cold beverages, alcoholic drinks and associated consumables. This procurement is divided into multiple diverse lots to encourage SME engagement. Suppliers may bid for one, multiple or all lots. Evaluation will be based on the most advantageous tender, considering both quality and price. Quality considerations will include product range, service delivery, food safety, sustainability and continuous improvement. The contract will also support environmental and social value objectives, including reduction of packaging and food waste, responsible sourcing and increased SME participation.

Supply of ready to eat snacks and ambient foods to include; Gummy Sweets, Crisps, Nuts, popcorn, single packaged biscuits, Raisin swirls, pain au chocolate, sponge cake
2 Fresh Foods (Ready To Serve)

Fresh (refrigerated foods) in display ready and consumption ready packaging. Including heat to serve foods. Products include: Sandwiches, baps/rolls, sausage rolls, fresh cake slices.
3 Hot Drinks
  • Value: £134K

Hot Drinks including, Black Tea, Herbal Teas, Coffee Beans, Ground Coffee, Instant Coffee, Instant Hot Chocolate, Coffee 'Sticks', De-caffeinated Coffee (all formats) Also includes sugar, sweetener and portioned UHT milk.
4 Soft Drinks
  • Value: £134K

A range of soft drinks ready to serve. Including; Still water, sparkling water, cola (and sugar free varieties) fruit juices, energy drinks, tonic water, carbonated fruit drinks, premium sparking drinks
5 Alcoholic Drinks
  • Value: £742K

A selection of retail and consumption ready alcoholic beverages. To include; Beers, Lagers, White/Red and Rose Wine in 150-250ml formats, sparkling wines, Vodka (50ml bottles), Gin 50ml Bottles), Cider, alcohol free larger/beer, Premium craft beer/ale

Renewal Options

Contract can be extended by two years in single 12 month increments. The authority will notify the supplier not giving less than 3 months notice of planned extensions.
